Some of their signature events include the ASA Run for Autism, the ASA Valentine’s Day Rose Sale, and the annual ASA Bowl-a-thon.

Delta Sigma Theta (DST) was founded at Howard University in Washington, D.C., in 1913. The Alfred University chapter was established in 1971 and has a strong commitment to personal growth, sisterhood, and community service. DST’s national philanthropy is the Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, which includes economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement. The Alfred University chapter hosts several events each year to support these areas, including the DST Toy Drive, the DST Step Show, and the DST Breast Cancer Walk.
