The University of Nebraska at Kearney (UNK) is a public university located in Kearney, Nebraska, United States. DZ’s national philanthropy is the Starkey Hearing Foundation, which provides hearing aids to those in need. The UNK chapter hosts several events each year to raise money for the foundation, including the DZ Chili Cook-Off, the DZ Basket Auction, and the DZ Carnival.
Sigma Kappa (SK) was founded at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, in 1874. The UNK chapter was established in 1969 and is committed to promoting sisterhood, personal growth, and philanthropy. SK’s national philanthropy is the Alzheimer’s Association, which supports research and awareness of Alzheimer’s disease. Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA) was founded at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia, in 1898. ZTA’s national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Education and Awareness, which supports organizations that provide education and awareness of breast cancer.
