BASUG School Fees

BASUG or the Bauchi State University Gadau, is a public university in Bauchi State of Nigeria. BASUG was established in 2011 in Gadau. What Is the Fees of BASUG?

The Bauchi State University, Gadau has different fee plans for new and old students. Presently the new students need to pay from ₦ 26,000 to ₦ 52,000, whereas those already enrolled are required to pay ₦ 5,000 to ₦ 10,000 less. It’s noteworthy that school charges are not the same for students who are Part-timers, Postgraduates, those who directly enter, and freshers in the BASUG school. 

Students of various courses pay an almost equal fee for different courses whether they are students of law, computer science, pharmacy, mass communication, medicine, surgery, or any other. The school has a payment portal for all students to perform all school-related activities, including submitting all types of fees. The Bauchi State University, Gadau, takes late fees as extra charges if you fail to pay your fee in time. 

BASUG fees for undergraduate and Graduate students for the session 2021-2022

Your selected program for undergraduate and graduate courses decides the fee you will pay. Every year the university approves the fees, and the bank also where you have to deposit your fees.

Fee Submission Policy of the School for Returning Students

For the 2022 session, the continuing students of Bauchi State University, Gadau, must pay their school fees before the last date of submission and before the closure of the portal.

Remedial Charges for the Session 2022-2023

For the non-indigene students aspiring for remedial classes, the school charges ₦32,000 as tuition fees, and ₦6,000 as Registration fees. For the Identification Card, they charge ₦2,000, and the Laboratory Fee is ₦4,000.

The Acceptance Fee

The acceptance fee of the Bauchi State University is a fee that a fresher or a first-year student needs to pay to any technical university, or university to show acceptance for the course. It also denotes acceptance by the college that you will be taken into the college as a student.

Other Charges Freshers, and also the Continuing Students, Need to Pay for the First Year

For different heads, the schools accept unequal fees. Even the new and continuing students pay a varied amount. It’s also not the same for the indigenes and non-indigenes.

Registration Charges

The Bauchi State University Gadau School asks students to pay ₦ 1500 for the indigenes and ₦ 3000 for the non-indigenes. All new and returning students will pay the same amount.

Library Charges

The school charges for the library are ₦ 1,000 for the indigenes and ₦ 2,000 for non-indigenes. It’s again the same for new and old students. 

Laboratory Charges for the Science Students

The indigene science students have to pay school ₦ 3,000, and non-indigenes are required to pay ₦ 6,000. Both new and old students have equal fees for the laboratory.


If you are pursuing medicines at the BASUG University, Gadau, and you are an indigene student, you will have to pay ₦ 1500, and if you are a non-indigene, you will have to pay ₦ 3000. The medical fees as similar for both new and returning students. 

Examination Fees

The examination fees for indigene and non-indigene students are unequal, but it’s the same for both new and old students. The indigenes will pay ₦ 5,000 as the examination fees, and the non-indigene students will pay ₦ 10,000.


Sports fees are the same for both new and old alike but dissimilar for indigenes and non-indigenes. The indigenes will pay ₦ 1,000, and non-indigenes will pay ₦ 2,000.


The indigenes will have to pay ₦ 1,000 for orientation, and non-indigenes will pay ₦ 2,000.

Caution Deposit

Caution deposit for the indigenes is ₦ 1,000, and non-indigenes will pay ₦ 2,000.

Identification Card

The school takes ₦ 1,000 from indigenes and ₦ 2,000 from non-indigenes for their identification cards.

Entry Qualification Verification Fees

Indigene students have to pay ₦ 1,000 for this service, whereas non-indigene students have to pay ₦ 2,000.

Student Handbook

For the student handbook, indigene students need to pay ₦ 1,000, and non-indigenes will pay ₦ 2,000.

Arts Students Total Fees

The total fees a new art student, who is an indigene, needs to pay ₦ 20,000; if the student is non-indigene, the total costs will be ₦ 40,000. For the returning indigene student, the total arts fee is ₦ 18,000, and for the non-indigene returning student, the total fees will be ₦ 30,000.

Total Fees for Science Students

New indigene students will have to pay ₦ 26,000 for pursuing the science stream, whereas non-indigene students will pay ₦52,000. For the returning science students, indigenes will pay ₦ 21,000, and non-indigenes will pay ₦ 42,000.

Payment Modules to BASUG School fees

BASUG School takes a session-wise fee from both fresh and returning students, not semester-wise. The school only accepts payment via BASUG’s Portal, and no other mode of payment is allowed. The Bauchi State University, Gadau (BASUG) has authorized the First Bank PLC, and First City Monument Bank PLC only to accept fees for the school. So, the BASUG Students can submit their school fees to these two banks only. For the First Bank PLC, the Account Number is- 2019665054, and for the First City Monument Bank PLC, the Account Number is- 1960810033. You may lose your examination seat for the semester if you don’t pay your fees on time. You can submit your hostel fee along with the school fees provided the Students Affairs authority approves it. BASUG charges ₦ 10,000 to ₦ 15,000 per student for providing accommodation.
