FAMU or Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University is a public university situated in the most famous city named Tallahassee in the state of Florida, United States of America. This is one of the largest Black race universities situated in America. This university was established on October 3rd, 1887 by a black rebellion and abolitionist named Jonathan Clarkson Gibbs, the only black secretary in the state of Florida and a benevolent follower of Abraham Lincoln. The city of Tallahassee was previously famous as the center of residence for the black people who were considered and worked as slaves. This university provides all the degrees needed that is starting from a bachelor’s degree to a master’s degree and the final doctorate. This university follows the rules and regulations as stated by the State University of Florida. This university is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Admission Process
The admission process at FAMU is pretty hard as the admission process is pretty long. Students have to acquire a high school diploma or a minimum General Equivalency Diploma.
