This parking pass can be used on all surface lots, as well as the Capstone Parking Deck in the university, except:

Purple Heart Parking Permit:

The use of this parking pass is open to members of the teaching and non-teaching staff, and students who participate in the University of Alabama Purple Heart recognition program.

To participate in the program, submission of valid Purple Heart documentation must be made to the Office of Veteran and Military Affairs.

Use of Purple Heart Parking Permit:

This parking pass is valid in:

  • Designated Student Center parking lots
  • Residential parking lots (non-reserved)
  • Commuter parking lots (non-reserved)
  • Faculty/staff parking lots (non-reserved)

Accessible (Handicap) Parking Permit:

This parking pass is only issued to members of the teaching and non-teaching staff, students, and guests at the University of Alabama that have been either certified by the state they live in or the State of Alabama. Complete documentation should be brought to the University of Alabama’s Transportation Service Division to receive the blue accessible (handicap) parking pass.

Department Issued Parking Permit:

This parking pass is issued to the guests of a department at the University of Alabama.

They can be bought by the department from Transportation Parking services at reduced rates, at least ten working days before the proposed visit.
