Naval Postgraduate School (NPS), located in Monterey, California, is a military institution that provides advanced education and research opportunities to members of the United States Armed Forces. While NPS does not have traditional sororities, it does have a unique Greek life community that includes several social organizations.

Currently, there are two social organizations at NPS: the Navy Civilian Club and the Officers’ Wives Club. Both organizations provide opportunities for social networking, community engagement, and support for members and their families.
Membership in the Navy Civilian Club is open to all civilians employed by the Department of Defense, including those working at NPS. The club provides opportunities for members to network with other civilians working in the Department of Defense, as well as engage in social activities, such as picnics, holiday parties, and other gatherings.
Membership in the Officers’ Wives Club is open to the spouses of active duty military officers and retired officers, as well as the wives of civilian employees of the Department of Defense. The club provides opportunities for members to network with other military spouses and engage in a variety of social activities, such as luncheons, book clubs, and other gatherings.
In addition to providing social networking opportunities, both organizations at NPS are committed to community engagement and philanthropy. The Navy Civilian Club supports a variety of local organizations, such as the Veterans Transition Center and the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. The Officers’ Wives Club supports a variety of military charities, as well as local organizations such as the Monterey County Food Bank.
