Hope College, a private liberal arts college located in Holland, Michigan, has four active sororities on campus: Alpha Gamma Phi, Kappa Beta Phi, Sigma Sigma, and Theta Gamma. The organization’s mission is to promote scholarship, leadership, and service among its members. SigSig is involved in a number of philanthropic activities, including the American Cancer Society and the SigSig Foundation.
Theta Gamma (TG) was founded at Hope College in 2006 and is committed to promoting sisterhood, scholarship, and service. TG is involved in a number of philanthropic activities, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the TG Foundation.
Each sorority has its own unique recruitment process, which typically takes place at the beginning of the fall semester. Prospective members are encouraged to attend information sessions and recruitment events hosted by each organization to learn more about their values and activities. The recruitment process culminates in Bid Day, when potential new members are offered bids to join a sorority.
In addition to the four sororities on campus, Hope College also has a number of other student organizations that provide opportunities for students to connect with others who share similar interests or identities. These organizations include but are not limited to:
