In our contemporary society, grades define a student. The academic worth of students is enshrined in the kind of grades they get. Irrespective of your level of hard work and long hours of study, your grades are the only justification that you have studied well. Bad study habits can lower a student’s grades. And when you jettison those study habits, you will be on the path to academic success. The implication is that improvement of grades, every single semester, should preoccupy the mind of serious students to improve the grades till the end of the semester.

These are the things good grades are capable of doing

•Good grades can increase your confidence; when you see the perfect alignment of your excellent grades, it tends to make you believe in yourself.

• Good grades can give you access to the University of your choice.

• Excellent grades can lead to more scholarships and employment.

Ways of improving your grades.

1. Set a goal and Visualize it;

You need to see, feel and imagine the grades you intend to improve. It has to be written down with a specific deadline. The act of putting a goal or vision down will force you to think of ways to get the grades at the end of the Semester.

At the beginning of my first year in the university I already set out the grades I intend to get at the end of the semester. The number of hours I should spend per day and the day I would see the grades (I tailored the day according to school’s calendar).

2. The use of Autosuggestion;

When you set these goals, there are chances you will drift from the target and become distracted. And then you will just forget about it. But when writing down these goals you then try to commit them to memory by reading them repeatedly every single time you’re free. Let it become part and parcel of your daily routine. The power of the subconscious mind has the potential to bring to pass what has been imprinted on it, you will be shocked to see yourself working towards the actualization of getting a better grade at the end of the semester.

When you write the goals of getting good grades, record your voice and listen to what you wanted to manifest at the end of the Semester. You might not get all the goals I envisioned, but you will get more than half of what you envisioned.

3. Choose a learning environment;

As a student who wishes to improve his or her grades, he or shouldn’t stay at home or in the room and expect to achieve the goals you set. You have to find an environment where people with similar goals are studying. You will be motivated to study harder than when you’re at home.

The competitive spirit present in every individual will not allow you to leave until you feel that many people have emptied the place of learning. To make My goal a reality, I would go to the university’s library to study until I became exhausted.

4. Classes Attendance;

When you fail to come to classes you miss vital information the lecturer might give to students. You could need the information to improve your grades. If you don’t have the chance to attend classes you should look for someone who goes to classes regularly to be giving you updates on the things the lecturer recommended.
