It is a 115,000 sq ft area that consists of a 3 court gymnasium, 2 paddleball courts, a multipurpose court, and a 15,000 sq ft area for the strength and cardio fitness center that is divided into subsections.

How to be a Member of the Gym Classes

  • As a fee-paying student in RU, you are automatically eligible to participate in the gym classes. 
  • Employees would have to purchase a membership pass to be able to participate in Radford University gym classes.
  • All eligible members get a cardholder to access the leisure center.
  • Membership fees are susceptible to change based on the student annual fee structure.
  • Membership fees are nonrefundable. Refunds are only made if documented medical issues are presented.
  • A Radford University student with a valid Identity card can sponsor guests into the Radford University leisure and fitness center adhering to the protocols below:
    • Guests should be 18years and above or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
    • Guests must present an identity card that has a passport photograph on it.
    • Guests must pay a sum for  guests fee before entering the SLFC ( $5 per day or $10 per weekend).

    • The guest pass must be used the day or following the weekend the pass was purchased.
    • Guests must present a receipt of the guest pass at the desk of the service attendant before entering the leisure and fitness center
    • Sponsors must follow their guest into the facility and they must also leave the facility with their guests.
    • Guest can not carry any equipment in the facility outside the facility.
    • Staff at the Leisure center have the right to refuse to admit a guest into the center if they have to.
    • Guest pass and privileges can be revoked if the guest does not act accordingly.

Peters hall is an academic leisure facility used by sports centers and other organizations on campus for rehearsals. The hall can be found in the middle of the school. It has some facilities students use for other extra-curricular activities: A strength and conditioning laboratory, a full-court gymnasium, and climbing wall gymnasium.

Outdoor Recreational Facilities 

The outdoor complex is an open field that contains a 162,000 sq ft racetrack, 2 sand volleyball courts and a basketball court. One softball field and 3 multipurpose fields are being operated at Dedmon athletic complex.
