Transfer Requirements

Students need to complete at least one year of a college course in their old college before applying to Davidson college and are eligible to apply for transfer. SAT/ACT scores are optional for transfer students. SAT /ACT scores are not mandatory for transfer students.

There are two seasons to apply for a student’s transfer

  • Spring season: In the spring season, the student needs to apply before the deadline of November 1st, 2022. Notification released in late November
  • Fall Season: in the fall season the student needs to apply before the deadline which is April 1, 2022. The notification was released in the early month of June.

Writing Essay Questions

To apply for transfer to Davidson college, transfer students must submit a personal statement with a word count from 250 to 650 words. Why is a personal statement asked by my college? Because a better understanding of the student is known from this personal statement. In a personal statement, the student must give a brief explanation of the topic in which he/she is interested. Supplement questions must be answered by the students are 

1. Why are students interested in joining Davidson college? The word count must be 250-300 words. 

2. Which topic or activity (hobbies, books, music, podcast, etc.) excites students in 250-300 words. The student must give a brief description of the specific topic or activity that excites students.

Step 3

Submitting Academic standing Forms

1. Transfer student must submit final high school Transcript (it is sent directly from student school)

2. Transfer students must submit a college transcript (it is sent directly from each college attended)

3. Statement must be submitted.

Step 4

Letters of Recommendation

1. Students must submit two academic faculty letters of recommendation.

2. peers like (friend, co-workers, a teammate, etc) recommendation.

International students Transfer Process

International student transfer enrollment is eligible for mid-year and fall enrollments. At Davidson college there is High competition for transfer student admissions. For this competition financial and scholarships are not available for international transfer students.

Non-Native English Speakers

Non-Native English speakers must take TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

Then the scores must be sent directly to Davidson by the testing Agency. At Davidson College, every test score is not taken manually. The scores must be sent by the Testing agency to Davidson college.
