Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated is a public service organization founded in 1913 by 22 collegiate women at Howard University. The sorority has over 1,000 chapters worldwide and aims to promote academic excellence, provide assistance to those in need, and enhance the quality of life in communities around the globe. Delta Sigma Theta’s core values include sisterhood, scholarship, and service. The UTSA chapter was established in 1983 and has been involved in a number of community service projects, including voter registration drives, AIDS awareness campaigns, and mentoring programs for young girls.
Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Incorporated
Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Incorporated is a Latina-founded organization that was established in 1987 at Texas Tech University. The sorority has a strong commitment to community service, leadership development, and academic excellence. Kappa Delta Chi’s core values include spirituality, academic excellence, unity, respect, and leadership. The UTSA chapter was established in 1995 and has been involved in a number of community service projects, including food drives, clothing drives, and fundraising for local charities.
Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated
Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority, Incorporated is a Latina-founded organization that was established in 1975 at Kean University in New Jersey. The sorority has a strong commitment to academic excellence, community service, and leadership development. Lambda Theta Alpha’s core values include unity, love, and respect. The UTSA chapter was established in 1993 and has been involved in a number of community service projects, including the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, breast cancer awareness campaigns, and mentorship programs for high school students.
Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Incorporated
Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Incorporated is a multicultural organization that was founded in 1990 at the University of Iowa. The sorority has a strong commitment to academic excellence, cultural awareness, community service, and sisterhood. Sigma Lambda Gamma’s core values include academics, community service, cultural awareness, social interaction, and morals and ethics. The UTSA chapter was established in 1998 and has been involved in a number of community service projects, including volunteering at the San Antonio Food Bank, participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, and hosting bone marrow drives.
Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity
Zeta Tau Alpha Fraternity is a national organization that was founded in 1898 at Longwood University. The sorority has a strong commitment to breast cancer awareness and education, as well as leadership development, scholarship, and service. Zeta Tau Alpha’s core values include scholarship, service, leadership, friendship, and sisterhood. The UTSA chapter was established in 1992 and has been involved in a number of community service projects, including volunteering at the local Ronald McDonald House and participating in breast cancer awareness campaigns.
