Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) is a public university located in Laredo, Texas. The university offers a variety of academic programs, including over 70 undergraduate and graduate degree programs. June Smith Center.
Delta Zeta (DZ) was founded in 1902 at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The sorority’s mission is to “develop strong, confident women who inspire the world around them.” DZ’s philanthropic efforts focus on supporting the Starkey Hearing Foundation, which provides hearing aids and related services to people in need around the world.
Sigma Lambda Gamma (SLG) was founded in 1990 at the University of Iowa. The sorority’s mission is to “empower women through cultural awareness, community service, and sisterhood.” SLG’s philanthropic efforts focus on supporting breast cancer awareness and education, as well as other local and national organizations.
To join a sorority at TAMIU, students must participate in a formal recruitment process that takes place at the beginning of each academic year. During recruitment, students have the opportunity to meet members from each sorority and learn about their values, philanthropic efforts, and social activities.
