  • Geographic Region Award worth $ 6,000 for four years or $1,500 per year to freshers having a high school GPA of 3.0 or more living in Michigan counties outside of Macomb and Oakland. Such students must reside in university accommodations for the entire four years of their graduation.

Here are some important points to remember about the above-mentioned scholarships:

  1. The required transferable credits must be scored before the scholarship deadline ends.
  2. Canadians and Mexicans can also qualify for the Non-Resident Awards. 
  3. Oakland University transfer grant will be given to the new transfer students with EPC of $0, who have financial needs (as per FAFSA) and meet all the criteria for financial aid requirements.

How to avail the benefits of scholarships?

The students must submit all the admission-related documents by the deadlines (entering summer 2022 transfer students must apply and submit all admission-related documents by or before July 1, 2022; entering fall 2022 transfer students must apply and submit all admission-related documents by or before August 1, 2022.)

  1. Except for the admission forms, students need not fill out any other form for scholarships. University will choose the scholarship awardees on its own depending on whether they meet all the eligibility criteria or not.   2. However, for some scholarships, students will have to apply separately beside the admission form.
