Cincinnati State Technical and Community Institution is a public two-year college overseen by a nine-member Governing board selected by Ohio’s Head of state. The University was founded in 1969 by the Ohio Board of Regents as Cincinnati Community School. Central Vocational High School and Courter Technological Middle School, both part of the Cincinnati Public School District, were originally located on its grounds. The college was Ohio’s first technical/community college to outright prohibit smoking on campus.
